Cool is open to Young People between the ages of 13-25
who are interested in becoming Peer Educators.
You can get involved either as a Year 11 student/
Community Studies subject or as a young person in the community.
If you are interested in applying for a place as a Peer
Educator you just need to fill out an application form.
Once selected you will be contacted to come in for an
informal interview, it’s that simple!
Extensive training is offered covering many topics such as human
rights, domestic violence, healthy relationships, gender roles
and stereotypes, communication skills, presentation styles and
techniques etc… Training is conducted in an informal/
interactive adult teaching style and is lots of fun.
The skill development that is provided through KSSC looks
great on your Resume.
Once trained, peer education sessions are offered throughout
High Schools to year 10 students and youth groups.
Lots of planning and preparation is required before Peer
Educators are ready to facilitate school sessions and plenty of
support is given before, during and after sessions.
