DV Cirles, Promoting Healthy Relationships

Howdy, my name is Brooke Louise and I am currently studying year 12 at Reynella East High.

Last year KSSC presented at my school, it made me highly interested so I decided to enter an application form with fellow friends who I mentioned the course to.

During the school holidays there was a meeting and an interview to see if we really wanted to join, and I got in.

Originally we attended 5 training sessions during January which got us through 20 hours of training fairly quickly. The sessions were really laid back and fun but we still had to keep on task etc.

Later on training was on Thursday nights and we began presenting at schools and promoting healthy relationships and educating students about domestic violence.

I really enjoy this course and hope someday I’ll either be a counsellor, nurse or even both. I have always been the type of person to help someone in need as I’m very empathetic and caring. I highly recommend you to be apart of this course if you’re interested in this work.

Thanks for reading

Brooke Louise.
