Feedback from Students

Feedback gained through questionnaires distributed at the end of each session to all youth group participants and students has shown appreciation of the peer led sessions and an increase in awareness, knowledge, beliefs and new consideration of relationship issues, i.e.:

“I learned that there are different forms of domestic violence.”

“It helped me on how I can control the hurt and anger I feel at the moment.”

“I have learned about how many different rights we as humans have.”

“I learnt what makes positive relationships.”

“It was good to have the opportunity to talk about conflict and relationships.”

“I learned that it is ok and good to have your own opinion and thoughts.”

“Everything was good, even though it was a serious subject it was fun.”

“I realise all the bad stuff that goes on in some relationships.”

“We all got to contribute our thoughts and opinions.”

“It was good discussing the rights we have in relationships.”

“We could talk freely and not be afraid of what people think.”

“I learned that we all have equal rights and that we should treat each other the same.”

One thing learnt, “How to respect and talk about issues with your partner.”

“I looked at my thoughts more. Challenged my beliefs.”

“It wasn’t boring because the speakers were younger it was better.”

“It was good the way we had fun and it was easy to learn.”

“I learned that gender role stereotyping is taking people’s rights away.”

“I got to express my opinions and listen to others without being judged.”

“I learnt how much stereotypes and people in general have changed over 50 years.”

"I learned that you need to have human rights otherwise your life will be not good.”

“It was different, we didn’t have ‘just talking’.”

“The young presenters were in touch with our age group.”

Class discussion and presentation

Some students have used the feedback to express a wish to be more involved and have later become Peer Educators working with Keep Safe Stay Cool.
